Driving Change Through Data and Collaboration
I am passionate about leveraging data science and sustainability to address critical global challenges. From improving agricultural supply chains to predicting food insecurity, my work transforms insights into actionable solutions that inspire progress.
With a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from UC San Diego, I’ve built my career at the intersection of technical expertise, real-world application, and a commitment to making a difference. My work has taken me from building predictive models for food insecurity in Bihar, India, to mapping cocoa supply chains in West Africa.
As the Founder & Head Researcher at Riso Data, a research organization committed to revolutionizing agricultural data in West Africa.
My work at Riso focuses on leveraging geospatial analysis and AI to create transparent and traceable supply chains, particularly in the cocoa industry, aligning with global regulations like the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
By modeling the traceability of over 3 million hectares of agricultural land, I help ensure compliance and sustainability for stakeholders.
At Goldman Sachs, I honed my skills as a Quantitative Analyst, contributing to pivotal strategies across multiple divisions.
In FICC Credit, I developed Weighted Linear Least Squares models that optimized hedging strategies, reduced transaction costs, and boosted quarterly PnL by 3%.
My work in FICC Mortgages involved pricing and risk analysis for mortgage-backed securities, focusing on prepayment risks and the broader implications for portfolio management.
Separately, in One Delta ETF, I engineered sophisticated client prediction systems using LLM's, which achieved 65% accuracy in identifying counterparties behind high-volume block trades.
Beyond finance, I lead impactful initiatives in sustainability and supply chain modeling
As the founder and president of the COMPASS Institution, I direct a nonprofit that uses mathematics, computer science, and data science to tackle global issues. One of our key projects involves predicting food insecurity in Bihar, India, by integrating climate, financial, and satellite data into predictive models that support targeted interventions.
These experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of agricultural systems, economic networks, and the global challenges tied to sustainability and development.
As a speaker, I bring my passion for data and sustainability to life on stage.
From TEDx San Diego, where I spoke about the tough realities of the cocoa industry and the transformative potential of AI, to the Bruin AI UCLA Conferences, I engage diverse audiences with stories of innovation and collaboration.
My talks connect global issues with actionable solutions, inspiring others to think differently about how data can drive change.
Through my work, I strive to bridge the gap between data, policy, and real-world impact. Whether optimizing financial portfolios, modeling agricultural supply chains, or addressing food insecurity, my mission remains the same:
to inspire action and build a more sustainable, equitable future...
To inspire action and drive change through data, collaboration, and storytelling, creating a more transparent, equitable, and sustainable supply chains.
